I did not read everything in this book as it was not necessary for me. My objective was to get a good understanding of how English is spoken in America than trying to be a person who speaks so. Yes, since I teach, having a better accent helps me. This book definitely helped me in that direction. But I don't have time to hone my spoken English to the level of perfect accent.

Many (including native English speakers and other non-Chinese speakers) people have asked me how I managed to acquire such a heavy American accent, despite the fact that I've never been to any English-speaking countries.
